Swizz Beatz has a street in the Bronx named after him, he is the first ‘Producer in Residence’ at New York University and The Source magazine named him among the 20 greatest producers on their 20 of September 1978 in the Bronx, New York.
He is of Afro-Jamaican and Puerto Rican descent, his father is believed to be an Eritrean immigrant who divorced his mom while Swizz was still very young.
Beatz's first and second wife have vacationed together with the producer and their respective children, and in 2016 Keys said her relationship with Mashonda was the inspiration for her song "Blended Family." in July 201o, and welcomed their firstborn that October. "This is a thing that I like about the two of you together..does feel that you are each other's cheerleaders," King told the couple during their recent sit-down, before asking if they ever experienced a healthy sense of competition.

Within a few years, Swizz had produced tracks for prominent artistes like Ruff Ryders’ DMX; etc.
After the first three, Swiss went official and had his fourth and fifth children by his current wife Alicia Keys.
They had their son Egypt Daoud on October 14, 2010, and another son Genesis Ali Dean on December 27, 2014.
"He really, he knows how to make you feel comfortable," Keys said in the couple's recent interview with Gayle King.
